Kathmandu. Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle has said that there is no need to beg foreigners for works that can be done by Nepalis.
Addressing the 60th annual general meeting of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) here today, Minister Wagle said that the government is committed to the welfare of the country. “It is very necessary for a small country like ours to build a big capital. The private sector also has to live up to its potential. You don’t have to ask foreigners for something that a Nepali can do. ’
Finance Minister Wagle stressed the need of mobilizing capital to guide Nepal on the path of development. “For this, the government will collaborate with the private sector, diaspora and foreigners,” he said.
Finance Minister Wagle said that the more a developing country like Nepal is able to save and invest, the faster the economic development will be achieved. “The government is moving ahead with the belief that our policies and incentives should be directed in that direction for this. ’
Finance Minister Wagle also urged the private sector to give their appropriate suggestions for the coming fiscal year. He also pledged to address the demands put forth by the ANCCI, CNI and Nepal Chamber of Commerce as far as the state is concerned.
On the occasion, Finance Minister Wagle said that the private sector should move ahead as a messenger for the development of the country’s economy. “So let’s move forward together. Because we have to build this country,” he said.
