Cabinet meeting decides to reduce capital gains tax on share trading

Kathmandu. The government has taken 6 decisions, including reducing capital gains tax on share trading.

Government spokesperson and Education Minister Sasmit Pokharel informed about the decisions taken by the cabinet meeting held today. According to him, 6 decisions have been taken.

Here are the decisions

  • Government Decision Process, Simplification, and Digitalization Regulations-2083 will be approved.
  • Securities and Bye-laws of the profits derived from the disposal of the interest of the entities listed with the Securities Board of Nepal shall maintain advance tax of 3.5 percent of the profit amount of the interest held for more than 365 days in the case of a natural person and 5 percent of the profit amount of the interest owned for a period of 365 days or less.
  • Khagendra Kattel, Ram Prasad Bhattarai and Baburam Dahal have been promoted to the post of Gazetted Special Class.TAG_OPEN_li_17

  • To issue an order regarding the insurance of Nepali citizens killed or injured in Saudi Arabia and to proceed with the process of insurance and compensation by giving the insurance to the Saudi citizen lawyer for legal action.
  • Circular Relief Fund Operation Procedure, 2083 to be approved.
  • Kali Prasad Parajuli, Joint Secretary of Nepal Administrative Service, will be promoted to the post of Secretary of Gazetted Special Class.TAG_OPEN_li_14
