Kathmandu. Business Operations of Non-Life Insurer FY 2082. In the first five months of ’83, they have done business of about Rs 2 billion.
According to the data released by the Nepal Insurance Authority, 14 non-life insurance companies and four micro non-life insurance companies have done business worth Rs 19.98 billion in the first five months of the current fiscal year. Last year, 2081. During the same period of 2018, these companies had brought in business worth Rs 17.51 billion. The company’s turnover increased by 14.10 percent in the review period compared to the previous year.
During the review period, the companies brought the maximum business from Bagmati province. The companies have earned Rs 13.62 billion in insurance premiums from the province. This is 17.19 percent more than the same period last year and 68.18 percent share of the total trade.
Similarly, the second largest number of business companies have been done from Lumbini Province. The companies have collected Rs 1.71 billion in insurance premiums from the province. It accounted for 8.61 percent of the total trade.
Similarly, the third largest number of business companies have done business from Koshi Province. The companies in the province have collected Rs 1.66 billion in insurance premiums. This fee is 8.31 percent of the total trade.
In the current fiscal year, the non-life insurance companies have collected Rs 1.31 billion in insurance premiums from Madhesh Province, Rs 1.55 billion from Gandaki Province, Rs 475 million from Sudurpaschim and Rs 186.1 million from Karnali Province. Madhesh Province has 6.57 percent, Gandaki Province 5.03 percent, Sudurpaschim 2.68 percent and Karnali 0.93 percent of total trade.
