Kathmandu. Fiscal year 2083. The second month of 84 i.e. the month of August is ending from today. Generally, before the start of the financial year, the list of works and priorities for the whole year should be prepared and made public, but the Nepal Insurance Authority has not yet made public the policy and program for the current fiscal year.
The Authority had made public the annual ‘Insurance Policy and Program’ for the first time in the last fiscal year. The Authority has not been able to achieve many of the achievements included in the annual policy and program.
This document guided the insurers to set their programs and priorities in accordance with the policies of the Authority. The policy and program presents a clear picture of what the mood of the regulator is and what will be the priorities for the insurance sector not only for the insurer but also for the insurance sector.
Sushil Dev Subedi, executive director of the Insurance Authority, claimed that the authority has already brought the policy and program in the month of July. He said, “It may not have been put on the website, but the policy and program have already been issued.” ’
