Kathmandu. Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has handed over electronic devices and computers worth Rs 17 million to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital.
According to Acting Mayor Sunita Dangol, the equipment has been handed over to the hospital so that the patients do not have to queue up to buy tickets and the laboratory report can be collected by oneself.
According to the metropolis, TAG_CLOSE_span_11 TAG_OPEN_span_11 16 interactive kiox machines have been provided with facility where service charges can be paid on electronic devices, patients can print laboratory reports themselves and payment for treatment from home. Apart from this, 65 desktop computers have also been provided with laboratory test results and all the details related to the test and treatment in one place.
In addition, the capacity of the server and has been increased for the uninterrupted flow of services provided through information technology.
Handing over the equipment, acting chief Dangol expressed her confidence that the situation of standing in queues for hours for treatment at government hospitals and standing in long queues for payment of medical equipment would come to an end.
