Kathmandu. A shocking incident has come to light in Jalgaon district of Maharashtra, India. Where a conspiracy to claim insurance worth crores of rupees by showing fake road accidents has been exposed. It has been revealed that the doctor, the police and the family of the deceased are also involved in the investigation.
According to the police, the incident took place in Dahiwad Phata area of Chalisgaun tehsil. An attempt was made to claim an insurance claim of around Rs 50 lakh for the death of the driver in a fake road accident. The incident came to light after the officials of Shriram General Insurance found several irregularities during the investigation and lodged a complaint with the police.
According to the complaint, Aruna Jadhav had filed an insurance claim claiming that her husband Rajendra Jadhav had died in an accident. It was claimed that on the night of April 19, 2025, he was on his way to Malegaon from Dahiwad when his motorcycle was hit by a black Thar. As a result, he died during treatment.
However, during the company’s thorough investigation, shocking facts came out. Investigations revealed that Rajendra had actually died of severe liver disease on February 23, 2024. The photo in his home showed the date of his death as February 23.
It has also been revealed that there is no record of his death in the death register of the village panchayat. Apart from this, different addresses were found in the documents of the deceased and policies were taken out in his name from about 10 different insurance companies. The police investigation has also revealed that there was a conspiracy to get an insurance claim of approximately Rs 7.5 crore by faking the accident and death.
The police have registered a case of cheating and cheating against the victim’s wife Aruna Jadhav, driver-owner Sambhaji Jadhav, medical officer Mandar Karambalekar, four policemen and an insurance agent. –Agency
