Kathmandu. Currently, four micro non-life insurance companies have invested more than Rs 2.5 billion in various sectors. According to the data made public by Nepal Insurance Authority, micro life insurance companies have invested a total of Rs 2.50 billion in the first quarter of the fiscal year 2082/83.
Nepal Micro Insurance is the largest investor in the company. The company has invested Rs 81.19 crore in various sectors. Star Micro Bank invested Rs 58.70 crore in the second quarter. Protective Micro has invested Rs 56.62 crore. Similarly, Trust Micro has invested Rs 54.38 crore.
Most of the four non-life micro insurers have invested in the fixed deposits of the banks. Non-life micro insurers have invested Rs 1.98 billion in fixed deposits of class ‘A’ banks, Rs 146.1 million in class ‘B’ banks and Rs 50 million in fixed deposits of class ‘C’ financial institutions.
Similarly, non-life micro insurers have invested Rs 31.63 crore in the ordinary shares of listed public companies. Star Micro Insurance has not invested in it.
The bank has a total of Rs 73 lakh in preferential shares, bonds, debentures and debentures, of which only Nepal Micro Insurance and Trust Micro have invested in the company.
At the same time, these four companies have invested Rs 90 lakh in Citizen Investment Trust and Mutual Fund. Protective Micro has not invested in it.
