Kathmandu. Although the Insurance Authority of Nepal (BEE) has implemented the online examination system for the production of professional agents in the insurance sector, widespread anomalies have been seen in the examination.
The Authority, which has been active in conducting dignified examinations in recent times, has started a campaign to take action against fake examinees participating in the agent examination by monitoring through the online system. The authority has canceled the exams of 20 agents in two actions. The authority prohibits the candidates who have been taken action once to participate in the re-examination for at least 3 months.
According to the mediator section of the authority, most of the insurers have the tendency to involve fake candidates in the examination or help the examinees. Agent leaders are also part of this race.
The Authority has implemented the provision of online examination for the production of commercial agents after the insurer recommended for the distribution of license without conducting training.
According to the authority, in some cases, the candidates are taking the exam online from other places and not from the insurer’s office. In such a situation, it has been found that more fake examinees are participating.
According to the agent licensing provision, the candidates must compulsorily take the online examination after participating in the agent training program conducted by the insurance company. Only those candidates who score minimum marks in the online examination are eligible to get the license.
The problem of theft persists due to the tendency of insurers and agent leaders not to provide basic training on insurance to the aspiring candidates before the date of the examination.
