Kathmandu: The insurance regulator, Insurance Board has approved the recommendation for the appointment of Pravin Raman Parajuli to the Chief Executive Officer of Nepal Life Insurance Company(NLIC).
The meeting of the board of directors of NLIC held on July 16 had recommended to appoint Parajuli to the CEO for the tenure of four years. Now the way has been paved for the appointment of Parajuli.
NLIC had appointed Parajuli as Senior Deputy Chief Executive Officer on January 9. Parajuli had joined Nepal Life immediately after completion of his 4 years term as CEO in Reliance Life Insurance Company. To avoid the provision of cooling period as per the Institutional Good Governance of Insurer, he had joined NLIC to the post of Deputy CEO.
