Kathmandu: Ramraja Shrestha has been re-elected as the president of the Economic Media Society Nepal (EMSON), an organization of economic media promoters. The seventh annual general meeting of the organization held at Thumki Resort in Kavre unanimously re-elected Shrestha as the president.
Shrestha represents bijkhabar.com, a prominent business news portal.
Similarly, Lochan Khatiwada of equitynepal.com and Him Bista of Taksar Magazine have been elected as the vice-presidents of the organization. Narayan Poudel of Singhadurbar.com has been elected as the general secretary of the organization and while Keshav Prasad Bhandari of Insurancekhabar.com has been elected as the treasurer of the executive committee. Bishnu Taruke of arthapath.com has been elected as the secretary, and Surendra Poudel of economicvoice.com has been elected as the joint secretary.
Milan Khadka of arthasansar.com, Madan Lamichhane of arthpati.com, Ujjwal Ghimire of meroauto.com and Deepak Bhatta of hamroartha.com have been unanimously elected as executive committee members of the organization. The newly elected members will serve the organization for the term of two years.
EMSON has been working as a bridge between the government and the private sector for economic development in the country. Newly elected president Ramraja Shrestha expressed commitment that he will play a supportive role in contributing to the economic development of the nation by serving the interests of economic media promoters in his new tenure.
The organization’s first working committee meeting has elected Sabin Dhamala of News Agency Nepal as the coordinator of the disciplinary committee. Bijay Phuyal of Arthavoice.com has been elected as the coordinator of the code of conduct committee.
