Kathmandu. Crude oil prices in Asia have risen again at a time when the US-Iran ceasefire is going through a critical phase.
Brent crude rose 3.3% to $97.90 a barrel on Thursday morning. West Texas Intermediate rose 3.2% to $97.55.
Israel has launched a heavy offensive in Lebanon despite a conditional two-week ceasefire. After this, Iran has threatened to take action if the attack continues.
Oil prices fell on Wednesday following the ceasefire. The terms of the ceasefire included the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. –Agency
