Kathmandu. The stock market rose marginally on Friday, the last trading day of the week. The NEPSE index increased by 5.36 points to close at 2838.40.
With the rise in the market, 5 sub-groups in the NEPSE sub-group increased while 8 decreased. The manufacturing and processing group saw the highest fall of 1.40 per cent while the non-life insurance group saw a decline of 0.53 per cent.
Shares of 108 companies have increased and 150 companies have fallen. Shares of 12 companies remained stable on the day.
Around Rs 7.5 billion was traded in the market today. On this day, National Hydropower was the highest traded company.
