What the world didn’t know about Gulf countries in Econovic Miracle of the Gulf: Mohammad Ramadan

Kathmandu. The book will tell the story of miraculous achievements and achievements of the Gulf countries in economic, social and diplomatic fields in a short span of time. Mohamed Ramadan Ali Mia, who has spent more than two decades in Qatar studying the history, society, culture, language and economic and diplomatic progress of the Gulf countries, is set to publish a book titled ‘Beyond Oil: Economic Miracle of the Gulf’.

Speaking at the pre-launch of the book on Sunday, Mia said that she has included what the world has not known about the Gulf countries. “When people think of the Gulf countries, they think of oil and natural gas. But they are also playing an influential role in world diplomacy,” Mia said, adding that the book covers dozens of subjects, including the diplomatic acumen of young leaders such as Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, and the role of mediators in regional conflicts. ’

Miya said that she wrote the book thinking that the story of progress of the Gulf countries would be a lesson for Nepal as well. This will be Mia’s 37th work. Miya, who is also a volunteer at the National Human Rights Commission of Qatar, has published books on Nepali language as well as Qatar’s labour laws in Nepali language to make Nepali migrant workers aware of their duties and rights. He has also published religious texts of Islam in Nepali language.

During the pre-launch ceremony, Editor Saudamini Chalise said that the book would cover all dimensions of the Gulf countries like Qatar, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait in one place.

Kamal Dhakal, chairman of Simal Book Publications and Likhan Kunj, said that there is no other Nepali who knows Gulf knowledge comparable to Miya. “The book written by such a person will be a reference material for the diplomatic and academic sectors as well,” Dhakal said. Dhakal also said that the responsibility and respect given to Mia by the Qatar government, which is influential in the Gulf region, is a matter of pride for Nepalis. The book will be published in two months, Mia said.
