What are the interest rates of the banks for August?

Kathmandu. Commercial banks have announced interest rates for August. Issuing a notice today, the banks have announced the interest rates applicable for August.

Out of the 17 commercial banks received so far, five have reduced the maximum interest rate on individual fixed deposits while 12 have kept it stable. Citizens Bank, Standard Chartered, Siddhartha, Nepal SBI and Nepal Bank have reduced interest rates.

Standard Chartered has reduced the interest rate on fixed deposits to 3.85 percent, Standard Chartered to 3.80 percent, Siddhartha Bank to 3.76 percent, SBI to 4 percent and Nepal Bank to 4.15 percent. Earlier, Citizens Bank had given 3.95 percent, Standard Chartered 3.85 percent, Siddhartha Bank 4.05 percent, SBI 4.10 percent and Nepal Bank 4.25 percent.

Similarly, Everest Bank, Machhapuchchhre Bank, Nabil NMB, Prime Commercial, Global IME, Nepal Investment Mega, NIC Asia, Prabhu Bank, Sanima Bank and Rastriya Banijya Bank have fixed the maximum interest rate on fixed deposits. These banks have continued the interest rate in August.

In the review period, Agri Development Bank (4.15 percent), Everest Bank (4.05 percent), Machhapuchchhre (4.50 percent), Nabil Bank (4.55 percent), NMB (4.50 percent), Prime Commercial (4 percent), Global IME (4 percent), Nepal Investment Mega (4.50 percent), NIC Asia (4 percent), Prabhu (4.55 percent), Sanima Bank (4.50 percent) and Rastriya Banijya Bank (4 percent).
