Kathmandu. Share investors have submitted a 7-point recommendation to the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) for the reform of the share market.
A team led by General Secretary of Nepal Capital Market Investors Association SP Chaulagain submitted a memorandum to the acting chairman of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) for the fiscal year 2083. The suggestions have been presented in order to be included in the budget of 84 years.
The memorandum has suggested ensuring tax stability by declaring Capital Gains Tax (CGT) as the final tax. The memorandum also suggested creating a full investment-friendly environment for Non-Resident Nepal and making tax facilitation.
Similarly, the committee has suggested making clear legal provisions allowing listed companies to buy back their shares, adopt a special policy to directly link the capital market with the productive economy, maintain long-term stability in the tax and policy framework related to capital market, provide long-term stability to the market by expanding institutional and foreign investment and review the impractical restrictions imposed on microfinance financial institutions g.
