Kathmandu. US President Donald Trump’s popularity has plummeted during his current term.
That’s according to a new Reuters-Ipsos poll published in the British newspaper The Guardian. The main reason for Americans’ discontent is Trump’s inability to control rising inflation.
Moreover, the American people do not like America’s war on Iran. Because of this war, the price of gasoline in America has increased.
The four-day survey was conducted from April 15 to 20. In the previous poll, 36 percent of Americans approve of Trump’s performance.
Only 22 percent approve of Trump’s performance on inflation, compared with 25 percent in the previous poll. There are also growing concerns that they could be weakened in the US Congress in November’s midterm elections.
However, 78 percent of Republicans still support Trump. 41 percent of party members are unhappy with Trump’s performance in controlling inflation. –Agency
