Us-China trade framework finalised, yet to be approved

Kathmandu. The path to ease trade tensions between the US and China is clear. The two countries have agreed to create an outline for trade.

The announcement was made by top officials of both countries after two days of talks in London. The plan will be sent to President Donald Trump and Xi Jinping for approval.

U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said the deal would end the ban on rare minerals and magnets. In this meeting with China, the issue of rare minerals for modern technology was at the top.

Last month, the U.S. and China signed a temporary tax agreement. However, after this, both countries have accused each other of violating the agreement.

The US has said that exports of rare metals and magnets from China are slow. This is essential for the manufacture of everything from smartphones to electric vehicles. – Agency
