U.S. takes steps to keep economic pressure on Iran

Kathmandu. The US Treasury Department has imposed sanctions on 14 individuals, companies and aircraft from Iran, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates. They are accused of procuring and supplying weapons or spare parts for the Iranian government.

The move comes ahead of President Donald Trump’s announcement to extend the ceasefire with Iran. Under this, the US has tried to maintain economic pressure on the Iranian regime.
