Kathmandu. China has said that US sanctions and economic pressure on Iran will not solve the Middle East conflict.
Earlier, US Treasury Secretary Scott Besant urged US allies to support US efforts to “crush” Iran’s economy. Prior to Besant’s remarks, Donald Trump had said that any country that provides any kind of aid or support to Iran will face serious economic consequences. ’
“Sanctions and pressure will not solve this problem,” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said. ’
“China urges all relevant parties to take responsible measures and resolve the problem through political and diplomatic means,” Jian said. –Agency
