Kathmandu. U.S. President Donald Trump has said he is having “very, very friendly” talks with Iran to resolve tensions.
For the third day in a row, neither side has attacked each other. Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One on Monday, Trump said, “I think there’s a good chance that we can end this war.” ’
However, Trump also warned that if these talks failed, the US would resume actions as it did before the ceasefire.
Meanwhile, Iran has denied any direct talks with the United States.
According to Trump, the US attacks on Iran have stopped. Because the mediators between the two countries had requested another opportunity for talks.
Iran has also temporarily halted its attacks. The pause comes after nearly two weeks of daily U.S. attacks and Iranian retaliation.
The attacks almost completely canceled the June ceasefire. At the time, the US military said the strikes were aimed at undermining Iran’s ability to threaten commercial vessels transiting the Strait Strait. –Agency
