Kathmandu. U.S. President Donald Trump has said that the U.S. will be able to use the Strait of Hormuz, not Iran, once the war ends.
“Why shouldn’t we?” Trump replied in response to a reporter’s question “Will you accept a deal that would allow Iran to charge ships?” I’d rather do that than make them pay a fee. Why shouldn’t we be charged? We are the winners. We have won. ’
However, President Trump later told reporters that any peace deal with Iran must include the opening of the Strait of Hormuz. “We need a deal that’s acceptable to me, and part of that deal is the free flow of oil,” Trump said. ’
It is worth noting that Iran had previously said that it would charge fees on ships passing through Hormuz. –Agency
