Kathmandu. The stock market fell sharply on Monday, the first trading day of the week. The NEPSE index decreased by 34.63 points to close at 2,704.08.
As many as 12 sub-groups of NEPSE sub-group have increased while one group has remained stable. The hydropower group fell the most by 2.23 percent, while the microfinance group rose 0.02 points.
Shares of 27 companies rose on the day, while 240 companies declined. Today, the share prices of 2 companies are stable.
More than Rs 4.25 billion was traded in the market today. The highest turnover has been done by NRN Infrastructure.
