Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The third general meeting and second general meeting of Nepal Insurance Professionals Society, Kailali has been concluded. The program was presided over by Sunil Shrestha, Chairman of Nepal Insurance Authority, Sudurpaschim Province Office, Kedarnath Bhatta as the chief guest.
On the occasion, Chief Guest Bhatta expressed his best wishes for the successful conduct of the AGM and said that the role of insurance professionals would be important to make the insurance sector transparent, accountable and service-oriented. He stressed on the need for the claim payment process to be quick, simple and effective as the trust of the insured is the basis of the insurance business. He also urged the insurance companies and professionals to pay attention to professional conduct, discipline and quality service delivery.
Mr. Ganesh Sawad, President of Nepal Insurance Professionals Society (Life Insurance) was the Guest of Honour on the occasion. On the occasion, advisor of the Society, Dilli Raj Sharma, special guest Ganesh Saud and other dignitaries expressed their best wishes and appreciated the contribution of the organization in the professional development, mutual coordination and promotion of insurance awareness. They expressed the belief that the organization would play an important role in capacity building, experience sharing and increasing public confidence in the coming days as well.
Member of the organization, Sagar Bam, gave the welcome speech on the occasion. Secretary Nar Bahadur Negi conducted the program. The program was attended by representatives of non-life insurance companies, insurance professionals and members of the association.
The AGM had unanimously endorsed the annual progress report, financial report and future action plan. The second general meeting of the party unanimously elected an 11-member new working committee under the chairmanship of Sunil Shrestha for a two-year term.
