Kathmandu. Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle has said that there are some fancy projects and they should be thought about.
Minister Wagle said this during the 13th meeting of the Investment Board of Nepal’s Monitoring and Facilitation Committee at the Ministry of Finance today. “There are some fancy projects and we need to think about them,” he said.
“It is shameful that out of 55 projects that have been approved for investment, only two are going for construction,” he said. “It is a ruthless review of the project to not carry out works for so long after the foreign investment was approved,” he said. If there are people, there is a law, if there is a law, the law has to be changed. The problem was urgently needed. ’
Minister Wagle warned that if further progress was not made by resolving the problem in the 14th meeting, he would think ruthlessly. “The helplessness of such a powerful investment facilitator agency has led to utter misinformation,” he said, adding, “At least 10 projects should have been made immediately.” ’
During the meeting, Prime Minister Bale Shah’s advisor on policy, administration and good governance Sudip Dhakal said that the condition of the projects of development and projects that are promoting the future of the country is very poor. “What are the obstacles to the progress of the project? Which person? What are the reasons for not coordinating? Now it’s monitoring. ’
On the occasion, Chief Executive Officer of Investment Board Sushil Gyewali apprised the meeting about the functions, responsibilities, powers and the projects approved by the Board and facilitated by the Board. He had clarified on the issues like implementation of decisions taken by the previous 12th meeting.
