Kathmandu. The Election Commission (EC) has made arrangement of accident insurance for the employees to be deployed for the upcoming parliamentary elections. The commission has provided an accident insurance of Rs 20 lakh each to the employees deputed in the election.
The EC is mobilizing 2,13,161 employees for the election. The EC has also insured the employees deputed at the polling stations and vote counting centres for a period of 15 days.
Likewise, the insurance cover for 90 days has been provided to the employees deputed to the office of the Chief Election Officer and the Election Officer, those working in all the offices of the Election Commission and those on duty during the election.
