The average solvency ratio of a non-life insurer is three times higher than the regulator’s estimate. (with list)

Kathmandu. Nepal Insurance Authority (NIA) for the fiscal year 2082. The solvency ratio of non-life insurance companies has been made public on the basis of the actuarial valuation report approved by Ashad 83.

NEA has made public the solvency ratio of 12 non-life insurance companies through the insurance project. In the last fiscal year, the average solvency ratio of these non-life insurers was 4.44. This is three times more than the solvency ratio fixed by the authority for non-life insurers. The company has set the solvency ratio at 1.3 for non-life insurers.

The solvency ratio of the non-life insurers approved by the NEA evaluation ranges from a minimum of 2.73 to a maximum of 5.84.

Sanima GIC Insurance has the highest solvency ratio of 5.849 on the basis of actuarial valuation. Similarly, Prabhu Insurance is second highest with 5.481 percent.

Oriental Insurance has the lowest solvency ratio of 2.73.
