Kathmandu. Swalamban Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha has distributed relief to the flood victims of Bidur Municipality Ward No. 3 of Nuwakot district affected by the devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi River on September 26.
On September 3, the organization distributed essential food and medical supplies to 141 flood-affected people who were deprived of rescue and relief due to the disruption of road network.
Due to the floods, 2 employees including the head of the branch office of the organization are still missing. Despite the continuous search and rescue efforts, the organization has helped the citizens in distress under its corporate social responsibility in this very sad and painful time of their condition and the disappearance of their colleagues.
Bidur Municipality Ward No. The relief distribution was done in the presence of Indra Prasad Adhikari, acting ward chairman of Bidur Municipality Ward No. Seeing the situation of the damage, the affected people were divided into two categories of ‘highly affected’ and ‘affected’. According to this, 25 kg rice, 2 kg lentils, 2 kg beaten rice, 1 liter oil, 1 kg salt and 1 soap were distributed to the affected families, while 12.5 kg rice, 1 kg lentils, 1 kg beaten rice, 1 kg beaten rice, 1 kg oil, 1 kg salt and half soap were provided to the affected people. A total of 100 bags of rice, 200 kg lentils, 100 liters of oil, 200 kg of beaten rice, 150 kg of salt and 100 soaps were distributed to the affected people.
Suman Shrestha, manager of the organization’s central office, Laxman Basnet, manager of Area Office Thimi, Pramod Kumar Sigdel, manager of Bidur branch office Pramod Kumar Sigdel and assistant Pushpa Raj Adhikari reached the disaster-hit areas and were involved in the relief distribution.
