Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police has arrested Mrigendra Nath Rimal, the suspended Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nepal Micro Insurance.
CIB spokesperson SSP Anupam Shumsher Rana said that Rimal was arrested from Sifal of Kathmandu on Thursday. According to SSP Jung Rana, he was arrested on a case related to the offence under the Insurance Act, 2079 and the Securities Act, 2063.
Rimal had been absconding since the case was filed at the Kathmandu District Court on June 11. Rimal is currently in the CIB.
Spokesperson Rana said that process is underway to present Rimal before the district court today itself.
