Kathmandu. KATHMANDU — Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Sudhan Gurung has won the by-election from Gorkha-1 in the district.
According to the Election Commission, Gurung has garnered 24,001 votes so far. A total of 64,000 votes were cast in the constituency. More than 53,000 votes have been counted so far.
His nearest rival was NC’s Prem Kumar Khatri who got 13,511 votes. In this sense, Gurung’s victory is almost certain.
Hari Raj Adhikari came third with 10,231 votes. He is a candidate of the NCP.
