Kathmandu. The Insurance Association of Sri Lanka has launched the e-Motor Insurance Digital Card and distributed 500 tablets to the traffic police.
According to the association, the equipment provided to the police in collaboration with its 13 non-life insurance members will help the police in implementing the new accident management system.
The association says that the e-motor card seeks to strengthen the relationship between insurers, regulators and law enforcement by equipping the police with the necessary technology.
The association expects these tablets to enable police officers to record accident data digitally and in real-time, reducing paperwork and improving both the accuracy and efficiency of accident reporting.
