Speaker and Energy Minister concerned to untie the knot of Budhigandaki hydropower project

Kathmandu. Speaker Dol Prasad (DP) Aryal and Energy Minister Biraj Bhakta Shrestha had taken information from the project chief regarding removing the obstruction seen in the construction of Budhigandaki Hydropower Project.

During a discussion held with Project Chief Executive Officer Arun Rajauria in the presence of Energy Minister Biraj Bhakta Shrestha at the Speaker’s office on Thursday, Speaker Aryal suggested that the construction work of the project should be forwarded in a definite timeframe.

“It’TAG_OPEN_div_15 s a national pride project,” he said. It is not only related to power generation but is also directly related to tourism, marketing of agricultural products and employment promotion. Therefore, as much as there should have been a delay, there should be no further delay to speed up its construction work. ”

On the occasion, Minister Shrestha expressed commitment to provide necessary support from the government to speed up the construction of the project.TAG_OPEN_div_11 “Make it clear where the government problem lies, we will make necessary coordination,” he told the project chief. ”
