Kathmandu. Smart Choice Technologies Limited (SCT), a service provider active in Nepal’s digital payment system, has been officially listed on Visa’s ‘Global Registry of Service Providers’.
TAG_OPEN_p_14 With this, SCT has become a Visa-accredited Access Control Server service provider. SCT recently received the ‘PCI 3DS’ certification. Both of these achievements are expected to be historic milestones in the field of Nepal’s payment system and security infrastructure.
Prior to this, no domestic company in Nepal had such certified ACS service. As a result, most of Nepal’s commercial banks had to rely on international vendors. As a result, sensitive financial details of Nepali ATMs and credit card users were stored and managed in data centers abroad.
With this new achievement of SCT, Nepali banks will now be able to avail this important security service in the country.TAG_OPEN_p_12 It has ensured that sensitive financial details of Nepali citizens are safely managed and stored within Nepal’s national borders.
Manoj Ghimire, CEO of SCT, said, “SCT’s infrastructure is not limited to the Nepali market but is of global standard, so any visa member organization around the world can use SCT’s certified ACS service.”TAG_OPEN_p_11
