Kathmandu. The micro life insurance company has brought in a business of Rs 986.9 million in the third quarter of the current fiscal year.
In the first nine months of the current FY, four micro insurance companies have collected more than Rs 98.69 crore in insurance premiums by issuing 3,74,663 policies.
Among the micro life insurers, Protective Micro Insurance has been the top gainer in this 9 months. The company has issued 1,08,267 policies and earned a total premium of Rs 27.82 crore.
Nepal Micro Insurance is the second largest company in the world. The company has sold 92,044 policies and earned a total premium of Rs 24.89 crore till mid-April.
Similarly, Star Micro Insurance has earned Rs 230 million in insurance policy by issuing 102,181 policies and Trust Micro Insurance has earned Rs 22.96 crore by issuing 72,171 policies.
