Kathmandu. The government has organized the ‘Skills and Employment Fair, 2083’ in Itahari, Sunsari from today with the objective of providing practical skills to the youth. This fair has been organized to implement the ‘Employment Promotion Decade (2083-2092)’ announced in the policy and program of the current fiscal year.
The fair, organized by the Ministry of Youth, Labor and Employment, will run till October 20. The main objective of the fair is to identify the skills of the youth and connect them directly with employers and training providers.
A special panel discussion on the theme ‘Today’s Youth, Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow: SAARC Dialogue’ will be held during the fair with an objective of attracting youths towards entrepreneurship.
Similarly, during the fair, selection of participants of the training, group division of trainees, skill testing and documentation for job matching, introductory program of employers and training providers as well as integrated information and consultancy services will be disseminated. The fair started from Itahari of Koshi Province in the current fiscal year will be gradually expanded to all other provinces by the government.
