Kathmandu. The applications for the sixth edition of the Himalayan International Award have been invited. The sixth edition of the ‘Himalayan International Award’ is going to be organized with the slogan ‘Honoring creators of language, literature, art and culture, our one campaign’. Issuing a press release, the organizing organization informed that the application for the award has been opened.
The application form for the award featuring songs of national sentiment, pop, folk duet, modern, children’s songs, diaspora and remix has been opened from May 21, according to Award Coordinator Geeta Adhikari. According to Ganesh Subedi, chairman of the award, the award will be given to the creators and technicians of songs and music that came in the market from 1st Baisakh 2082 to mid-Chaitra (within a year).
The last date to apply for the registration of songs and creations is June 15. On the occasion, a distinguished person will be honoured with the Dirgha Sadhana Award for his contribution to the field of Nepali music. According to the organizers, Nepali musicians and journalists from home and abroad will also be honored for their special contribution to the field of music.
Earlier, the awards were held in Kathmandu, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia. Coordinator Geeta Adhikari informed that preparations are being made to make the sixth edition special and grand.
