Shivam Cements Limited has distributed warm clothes, school bags and various educational materials to the students with special abilities studying at the Disabled New Life Center in Kathmandu. The company has handed over the necessary materials through a program with the aim of making the studies and daily life of the students easier.
About six months ago, Sandesh Budha Magar, a child with special abilities from Rolpa Municipality-10, Dhangsi, was made public through media and social media. Sandesh is continuing his studies by writing with the help of his feet.
After the news of his struggle became public, Shivam Cements took the initiative to continue his education and coordinated with the Disabled Navjeevan Center and Khagendra Navjivan Special Education Secondary School in Kathmandu. Under this collaboration, the center has taken the responsibility of housing, care and study coordination of Sandesh, while the school has been providing opportunities for study through special education. According to the company, Shivam Cements has been regularly assisting with the expenses incurred for the study and necessary management of Sandesh.
In the program, the representatives of the company emphasized that since education is the fundamental right of every child, children with special needs should also get quality education with equal opportunities.
