Kathmandu. Today is the last day to secure the profits of Sarbottam Paints Industries and Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company.
Both these companies are closing the book tomorrow, September 13, for the purpose of dividend and Annual General Meeting. This means that only the shareholders of these two companies will be eligible to receive the dividend and participate in the meeting.
Sarbottam Paints has decided to hold its fifth annual general meeting on September 10. The meeting will begin at 1:00 pm at Hotel Jungle Spa in Godavari, Attariya, Kailali.
The meeting will also approve a proposal to distribute bonus shares worth Rs 3,40,000,000 to 10 per cent of the current paid-up capital of Rs 34 crore for FY83. The meeting will also approve a cash dividend of Rs 17,89,474 allocated by the company for tax purposes for bonus shares.
Similarly, Arun Valley Hydropower has also decided to hold its 29th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on October 11 to approve the dividend. The meeting will pass a proposal to distribute a total dividend of 5.263 per cent of the current paid-up capital of Rs 4,04,04,150 from the profits and accumulated profits of the last financial year. This includes 5 per cent bonus shares and 0.263 per cent cash dividend for tax purposes.
