Kathmandu. At least seven people were killed and several others injured after an electric car exploded outside a three-storey house in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore city on Wednesday morning, officials said.
Some cooking gas cylinders inside the residential building also exploded due to an electrical glitch while the car was being charged. This made the fire even more intense.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Kundan Mandloi told PTI that the fire broke out between 3.30 am and 4.30 am at the house in Brajeshwari Annex Colony. Seven people were killed in the fire, he said. A child has gone missing after the incident and a search is underway, the ACP said.
According to the Madhya Pradesh Police, the fire broke out while the car was charging outside the three-storey house.
