The Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has released a white paper on ‘Development of Primary Capital Market of Nepal, 2083’. The main objective of this white paper is to provide a holistic assessment of the existing primary capital market.
Similarly, the main objective of the white paper is to identify structural problems and areas for improvement. The main objective of the white paper is to study the international best practices, propose an appropriate reform model for Nepal, make the public issue market-based and strengthen investor protection.
The white paper states that the basis for legal and regulatory reforms, to present a roadmap for institutional capacity building, to promote the development of digital primary capital market and to contribute to the development of long-term capital market.
