Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) chairperson to submit applications with 7 days to submit personal details

Kathmandu. The Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has invited applications for the vacant post of chairman.

The recommendation committee formed by the government today invited applications for the post of chairman of the Securities Board of Nepal. The committee has urged the concerned persons to submit their personal details to the committee’s secretariat at the Financial Sector Management and Corporation Coordination Division of the Ministry of Finance within seven days from the date of publication of this notice, i.e. by May 4.

The post of chairman of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has been lying vacant since the resignation of Santosh Narayan Shrestha on April 4. The then government had appointed Shrestha as the chairman of the Securities Board of Nepal on November 26, 2081.

The government has formed a three-member recommendation committee under the coordination of National Planning Commission (NPC) vice-chairman Dr Gunakar Bhatta to appoint a new chairman to the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON). Finance Secretary Ghanashyam Upadhyaya and former banker Bhuwan Kumar Dahal are the members of the committee.

Now, this committee will select the candidates on the basis of the applications received and recommend to the government to appoint the chairman of the Securities Board.
