SEBON’s Short Selling Directive Turns Green, Nepse Bounces Back

Kathmandu. Today, the stock market closed sharply. The Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has directed Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) and CDSC to resume short selling. Today, the NEPSE index increased by 79.74 points to close at 2,677 points. Today, the share prices of 259 companies have increased while the prices of 13 companies have fallen.

A total of 1,03,89,077 units of shares of 335 companies were traded during the day. Today, despite the huge increase in the market, the transaction amount has been limited to Rs 4.5 billion. On Tuesday, the market had traded over Rs 4.52 billion.

Shares of Ankhukhola Hydropower Ltd were traded the most today. Today, the company’s shares worth Rs 22.23 crore were traded. Shares of Corporate Development Bank worth Rs 17.73 crore were traded. Shares of Reliance Spinning Mills worth Rs 15.60 crore have been traded.

Today, the investors of Srinagar Agritech have earned the most. Today, the company’s investors have earned 15 percent. Investors of Suryakunda Hydro have earned 14.83 percent. Investors of Shikhar Power have earned 12.54 percent.

Today, the investors of self-reliant microfinance financial institutions have lost the most. Today, the investors of this institution lost 15 percent.
