Kathmandu. Samsung Nepal has launched a special repair service campaign with the aim of providing relief to the people affected by the floods. Under this campaign, up to 100 percent discount will be provided for the repair of Samsung’s mobile phones and household appliances damaged by the floods and if needed.
The company has said that the campaign has been launched with the hope that it will help in reviving the equipment damaged by the floods.
Samsung Nepal said in a press release on October 7, 2026 that the campaign aims to alleviate the financial burden of flood-affected families and help them reuse their daily essentials.
Under the campaign, discounts will be available on suitable Samsung products such as smartphones, tablets, refrigerators, washing machines, televisions, etc. It has said that there is an arrangement to provide door-to-door service for household electronic goods.
Up to 100 percent discount will be available if you need to repair and replace new items that are remaining in the warranty period. There is a provision for 80 percent discount on goods that are one to two years old and up to 70 percent on household items that are two to five years old or older. On mobile phones and tablets, 80 percent discount will be given for those one to two years old and up to 70 percent for those two to four years old.
Similarly, if the cost of new parts, repair wages and transportation is more than 80 percent of the total market value of the goods, then it can be considered to provide new goods instead of repairs.
This type of service has been launched targeting the flood-affected areas of 15 local levels declared by the Government of Nepal and surrounding districts including Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Chitwan, Gorkha and Tanahun.
The special repair service campaign is being conducted from October 2 to November 2, 2026 at Narayanghat Service Center and Tamrakar Service Center in Pako, Kathmandu. Customers with eligible Samsung smartphones and tablets can take their equipment directly to the designated service center and get the inspection and repair service.
