Kathmandu. An interaction programme on institutional protection, non-life insurance awareness and good governance of cooperatives was held in Tansen on Sunday. The program was organized by District Cooperative Association, Palpa in collaboration with Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance.
Chief Guest of the program, Chief Executive Officer of Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance, Chunky Chhetri said that the cooperative’s share members should be insured for their savings. He said that the insurance could be done keeping in mind the cooperatives premises, the amount collected in the market and the risk of loot or loss while going to the bank from the cooperative office.
On the occasion, Chief of Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance, Lumbini, Bishwadeep Nepal, facilitated on how the cooperative’s money could be preserved. He said that it is necessary to insure the damage caused by the risk of night stay, theft of money by vandalizing the office, and seizing cash by trembling.
Karuna Kafle, head of Tansen branch of Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance and Dol Prasad Shrestha, head of Rampur branch, facilitated the insurance of agriculture, livestock, birds and herbs.
Similarly, the program was presided over by Secretary Krishna Bhattarai and Chairman of Cooperative Association Bhupati Pandey.
