Rs. 11.98 billion in reserve for relief and rescue fund. Rs. 1 billion released

Kathmandu. The Prime Minister’s Relief Fund, which was called for relief and rescue after the floods in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa on August 26, has a total of Rs 11.98 billion.

According to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, out of the amount deposited in the fund, 9 commercial banks have deposits of Rs 8,78,82,58,304. Two commercial banks have deposits of $21.11 million.

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) has already released Rs 1 billion from this fund for relief and rescue in flood-affected areas.

The fund has been collected from home and abroad following the government’s public call for assistance in relief and rehabilitation following the floods.
