Kathmandu. Deposits of Rs 15 billion have been added to the banks in a single day.
According to Nepal Rastra Bank( NRB), deposits worth Rs 15 billion were added to banks and financial institutions in a single day on April 15. At the same time, the total number of banks and financial institutions has reached Rs 6966 billion. The total deposits stood at Rs 6,951 billion the previous day.
An additional Rs 2 billion has been disbursed from banks and financial institutions on April 14. At the same time, the total credit flow has reached Rs 5,553 billion. The total loan investment stood at Rs 5,551 billion the previous day.
Although deposits have increased, credit flow has not picked up much. The average CD ratio of banks is 78.59 percent.
