Kathmandu. After the opening of fixed deposit accounts, the deadline for submitting block requests in the Airmark system has been extended.
The Insurance Authority of Nepal (BEE) has extended the deadline for submitting block request by amending its guidance on airmark on fixed deposits of insurers, 2081 BS. Insurance companies will now have to submit a block request to the Airmark system within 15 working days of opening the fixed deposit account.
Earlier, the deadline for submitting a block request was 7 working days.
According to the NRA, no action will be taken against any block request submitted after the stipulated time as per the amended provision.
