Kathmandu. Finance Minister Dr. KATHMANDU: Swarnim Wagle has urged the Nepalis living abroad to have faith in the government’s and party’s notion of ‘Nepali for once, always Nepali’.
Minister Wagle made this call while addressing a conference organized by Nepali youth entrepreneurs of Australia on Saturday. “We are clear on our belief that we are Nepalis once and always Nepali. Rest assured of it,” he said.
“Nepalis living abroad are the goodwill ambassadors of the government for development and expansion of investment,” he said. “The new government formed with an incredible mandate in Nepal has been working to lay the foundation of good governance and widen the door of economic development. “If we look at the work done by the government in the past hundred days, we have made a remarkable beginning in good governance with high honesty, providing government services to the people and turning the ship of economy,” he said. Meritocracy, high morality in leadership, zero tolerance for corruption, and the beginning of a move to turn the ship of economic governance for the prosperity of the economy are the beginning of the golden reforms of the last decade. ’
Finance Minister Wagle said that the budget has opened doors to new possibilities of investment in tax, revenue and distribution of budget for the revitalization of economy. He also urged the Nepalis in Australia to take initiative to bring back their investment from Nepal and urged the Nepalis in Australia to take initiative to bring back their investment. “Important doors have been opened to facilitate the Diaspora to bring investment in Nepal. You are our goodwill ambassadors. You are the best facilitators to bring your own legitimate and foreign investment to Nepal,” he said, adding, “We have put forward the transformative concept of NRNA bond, offshore bond, alternative finance mobilization from the government to expand your investment in Nepal.” ’
Stating that this facility has been made for the revival of the economy from outside the government account, Wagle said, “Tell us clearly what more facilitation the government should provide. ’
Stating that around 1 percent of the total population of Australia is the property of Nepal’s prosperity, Wagle urged all to join hands in the interest of building the country.
