Remote work and digital jobs are government’s priority

Kathmandu. The single government of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has given priority to remote work and digital employment.

In the 18-point national commitment prepared as per the manifestos, promise and commitments of the six major political parties, the government led by Balen Shah has prioritized remote work and digital employment to promote job creation. The government has adopted a policy to promote remote work, digital employment and export of cross-border services by amending the law and policy to ensure that foreign companies, agencies or employment can be employed in Nepal.

The government has pledged to create more employment opportunities by carrying out policy reforms in priority sectors (information technology, construction, tourism, commercial agriculture, etc.). The government has stated that a mega push campaign would be launched to increase employment by completing projects related to physical infrastructure, solar or wind energy, waste management and green industries.

The government has a plan to encourage doctors, nurses, engineers, technical manpower in agriculture, forestry, information technology, etc. sectors to take up employment and business in the country.
