Kathmandu. Xiaomi, global technology leader, today announced the launch of its Redmi 17 series in Nepal, Redmi 17 and Redmi 17 5G. The series is equipped with a long-lasting battery, a smooth display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and reliable robustness for daily use.
A key feature of the Redmi 17 series is its 7,500mAh large battery, one of the largest in its segment. The company claims that it will last longer for video streaming, gaming, or even using the phone throughout the busy day. When the battery is running out, 45W turbo charging helps to charge faster, which reduces the charging time.
The series also comes with 22.5W reverse charging. It can be used as a power bank to charge earbuds, smartwatches, or even another phone if needed. The actual battery life may vary depending on the network and usage conditions, but Redmi 17 5G can last even longer than Redmi 17.
Both smartphones have a 6.9-inch HD display and a 120Hz refresh rate. It offers a smooth and smooth experience such as scrolling, gaming, and video viewing. Redmi 17 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G91 Ultra processor while the Redmi 17 5G is powered by Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 Mobile Platform for faster 5G connectivity. Both phones come running on Xiaomi HyperOS 3 and support up to 12GB of RAM via memory extension, which gives a smooth and quick experience even when doing a lot of work at the same time.
On the camera side, both phones have a 50-megapixel AI dual camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. With the dual-view video recording feature, videos can be recorded from different angles at the same time. Audio is equipped with dual stereo speakers, which support up to 300 percent volume boost. Additionally, the phone has a 3.5mm headphone jack and NFC support for fast connection and tap-to-pay.
Weighing around 232 grams, both phones have IP64 dust and water resistance. The company claims that this will make the phone stronger in daily use. From dawn to night, be it sun or rain, the phone has been designed to keep up with the user’s daily life.
Redmi 17 will be available in four color options – Black, Deep Blue, Oak Green, and Lotus Purple. It will be available in two variants, 4 GB: 128 GB and 6 GB: 128 GB. It will be available for Rs 33,999.
Redmi 17 5G will be available in three color options – Black, Deep Blue and Vivid Orange. It is available in three variants, 4GB: 128GB, 4GB: 256GB and 6GB: 256GB. Rs. 33,999, Rs. Rs. 37,999 and Rs. It will be available for Rs 41,999.
