Kathmandu. On the occasion of World Investors Week, Premier Securities and Pokhara Multiple Campus jointly organized a financial literacy program on capital markets for students.
Students of Pokhara Multiple Campus were present in the program organized with the objective of increasing financial knowledge, basic concept of capital market and awareness about safe and prudent investment among the students. Campus Chief Shishukala Parajuli and Premier Securities Dal Bahadur Thapa gave their guest speeches on the occasion.
On the occasion, Deepak Poudel, Chief of Premier Securities Pokhara Branch and Program Director facilitated the program, while Surya Prasad Khanal from Premier Securities gave a presentation as the keynote speaker and facilitator. Mr. Khanal gave practical information about the working style of the stock market, primary issue (IPO), secondary market, demat account, risk management and important aspects to be taken care of while investing.
During the presentation, Khanal highlighted the contribution of the capital market to the overall economy of the country and how young students can build a strong and secure future by acquiring financial literacy from an early age.
At the end of the program, a question and answer session was conducted with the students. Where Khanal answered various queries and questions related to the capital market of the students.
The event, conducted on the occasion of the World Investors Week, is expected to contribute to inculcate the right investment culture among students and prepare financially conscious citizens.
